Airheads!:
- Jimmy Lofgren - The big nod at their own (and Mott's/Bowie's All the Young Dudes) glamerama revisited period. The lyrics are entertaining, although not groundbreakingly brilliant (kicks in open doors as it were). But overall a pleasant experience. 8/10
- John (VC10) - Aw what can I say? Old "radio metal" may be passé but retro 70's is SO cool, see Lenny Kravitz and the latest Bowie releases. This Mott/ELO pastiche is just perfect, exactly what a 70s band should be doing in the 00s. Sounds like a song you've known all your life. Do it live guys, we'll sway our arms and bring our cigarette lighters! 5/5
- Stef (myadrenaline) - Someone who knows Sweet can tell right away this is going to be silly, and it is. The chorus is so annoying, but at the same time I can't help but like it... I want to sing it happily but the lyrics are so snotty... in-jokes... silly little keyboard twiddle... takes for f***ing ever to end, which is probably another joke.
- Steve Goldspink (GoldenArm) - The music on this track is pure brilliance, the lyrics clever cliches. Anthemic overtones. Overall, a fine and interesting song that should have the scarves in the air. Love the never ending end. 8/10.
