I first saw SWEET at the Central Club in Richmond, Melbourne, many years ago, 1985 to be exact. It was a brilliant gig with both Andy Scott and the classic drumming of Mick Tucker (RIP). The new lead vocalist then 'Paul Mario Day I believe was great. They played a set full of the classic heavier Sweet stuff! The band however rocked, new vocalist Tony O'Hara can sing! Andy's guitar was loud and searing! The band have a sense of humour, they know how Spinal Tapish playing stuff like Co Co is. They openly admitted they prefer the heavier stuff. I just wish they played more of the heavier SWEET stuff like 'Set Me Free' (my fave SWEET track). I did hear they played this song the following night! Pity I missed that! But all in all a good night! SET LIST was something like...
