THE SWEET -
A colourful rainbow of photographs, that’s the only way a book on The Sweet could possibly turn out. This
band lived the motto of “Sex, Drugs, Rock ‘n’ Roll”, with the photographer - Bubi Heilemann - always in
close pursuit. Altogether he must have done around 200 photo sessions with The Sweet. On tour,
backstage, home stories, at weddings and christenings. A special treat would probably be the double-page

Bubi Heilemann took pictures of The Sweet throughout the 70’s. Brian Connolly left the band in 1979 to
start another band - The New Sweet. He died of a heart attack in 1997. The other 3 kept the project going for
a while, until they disbanded in 1981. Later in the 80’s Andy Scott and Mick Tucker continued together
however in 2002, Mick Tucker died of leukaemia. Steve Priest now lives in the USA and only Andy Scott is
still ‘on the road’. he put together a new band, still called The Sweet, and he wrote a beautiful greeting for this
start another band -

No other photographer as Bubi has spent so much time with the band, and so thousands of fans worldwide
have been waiting for this book for years now. Time and again, Bubi was begged to turn his unique and

This book can be notoriously difficult to get hold
