Sweetlife - Your Track review....

So Far So Good:
  • Jimmy Lofgren - Not so good melody structure. Even if the lyrics really feels autobiographical, and are quite honest, it's not so convincing as a very good song. 5/10
  • John (VC10) - Excellent. Unusual and annoyingly catchy vocal riff (Ah! Ah!). Lyrics at their most personal, witty and reflective. "Older but wider" would have been a brilliant title for the album too! Quality stuff again. 4/5
  • Stef (myadrenaline) - That little "ah ah" sound is an excellent hook and makes me think this has single potential, but then I listen to the lyrics and wonder if they aren't too clever and cynical to go across on radio, at least American radio. They do capture Andy's attitude perfectly though. Various nods to other rock riffs that I don't quite recognize. Love the rising chord progression, each bit slightly different.
  • Steve Goldspink (GoldenArm) - 100% City Boy. Fun, bouncy, bright. When I woke up this morning . . . . I was singing "ah ah". Lyrics a mixed bag of brilliance through ordinary to a little banal (sorry boys). Still, they rhyme. Why didn't they put an "ah ah" right on the end? 7/10.
